It seems to me that as much as the artist imagines that their artwork is a manifestation of their will, it sometimes seems the other way around, and the artwork is deciding for itself who and what it wishes to be. The artist can fight it or accept the decision of the artwork. Perhaps the the secret is to learn how to listen to what the art is saying and grow together.
And that, truly is the most beautiful thing about being an artist, in my opinion.

In this reel, our team at Pietrasanta Industries opens the molds of several colossal heads that will become part of a monumental sculpture rising over 12 ft (3.5 m). This work is one of eight pieces by Romolo Del Deo created for Oltre il Muro, the open-air gypsotheca located in the central piazza of Camaiore, Tuscany.
Cast in innovative, green-tech acquaresina at @pietrasanta_industries, with the support of @reschimica_official, Mei Construction, and the City of Camaiore.
